MORE PORRIDGE

today i had porridge again with curried cabbage, but also with feta cheese.

it was alright. i think a different cheese would have been preferable, but the feta is at work and needs eating. (NO WASTE!)

i have not thought of an appropriate thing to give up for lent this year.
(2009 = meat
2008 = ? hmmm i can't remember takeaways (thanks tinytear!)
2007 = pints)

I just bought a pint of milk. It says 568 ml on the side, but they're fooling no-one.

Oh, right, I thought they were in fully metric now! You're right, 568ml is just pretending to be metric.

To be fair I had a look at the Tesco website and it seems that the exotic milk (Cravendale, Yeo Valley etc) is all by the litre now, but the regular stuff is still by the pint (568ml, 1.136/2.272/3.408 ltr).

I doubt we'll ever truly give up on pints. It'll be like living in France, and nobody really wants that.
