i'm quite distressed to day, ladies and gentlemen of the internet, because i can't find my elastic band ball. i think the cleaners may have got jealous and nabbed it. i hope not.

lovely evening last night full of festive cheer. christmas carol service in that big church in the middle of the strand. singing of carols! lovely, lovely, carols. a quick squizz at the somerset house ice rink. muppet christmas carol with wine and snacks in a lecture theatre i'm not overly convinced i'm actually allowed in. more wine. natter. top stuff.

of course, broken tubes and unexpected texting meant i wasn't in bed until TOO LATE, and today i'm back to tired, grotty, and distinctly unseasonal. plus my lack of scrabulous cold turkey mood is kicking in. boggle, anyone? bah, humbug!
