I read in the paper this morning that some airlines are soon to be letting hand luggage back on flights. I don't quite understand this, does it mean that all terrorists have been eradicated? They have blocked all their passports? Why is the risk any less?
Also, to celebrate, Ryanair are going to be offering 'free' flights. Cash Back!

Last night I went to see A Caucasian Chalk Circle at The Scoop, which is the outdoor concrete ampitheatre near Tower Bridge.
It was a lovely balmy evening to sit happily on my own and watch a really quite good free production. It was even lovlier to be surrounded by dubious youths (obviously on some sort of school trip) to find out they weren't dubious at all, and very keen.
Even when the rain started gently, they carried on, as promised. When it started tipping it down we were soooooo close to the end and the not-so-dubious-youths and everyone else sat there getting wet cheering for them to finish. So they did. In the pouring rain.
It was brilliant :)

Yesterday I heard many of my favourite noises:
♥ the roar of traffic pulling away from the lights at London Bridge
♥ the gentle pitter patter of light rain on umbrella
♥ the beautiful, beautiful ear-slamming thunder! God, I love storms :)
♥ the rain beating down on the bedroom window*

I don't think I'll be going to the free theatre today, I'm not sure the weather will let me.....
*NB this sound kept me awake and eventually made me angry, gah!

Re: boring explanatory reason
Date: 2006-09-15 04:09 pm (UTC)not as pathetic as your typing ;-pis it a big venue, then? I fancy the trip more than the gig, but I don't want to commit to anything just now :-\
although my only October gigs so far are on the 11th, and possibly 14th and 15th...
Re: boring explanatory reason
Date: 2006-09-15 04:12 pm (UTC)tis at Koko, which i haven't been in for years, since it was a filthy dance club. which it probably still is on certain nights, but not when i'm there.
i don't know really, is what i'm saying!
Re: boring explanatory reason
Date: 2006-09-15 04:23 pm (UTC)HIM (shit, there's a band called that, isn't there? okay...)*him* and also to see friends (which I'd be there for more than the music, obviously!) might not be the best idea, as at least one of you is obsessed and I'll be on my own at the back again ;-pRe: boring explanatory reason
Date: 2006-09-16 04:04 pm (UTC)anyway, i'm too old for standing at the front like a lovesick teen these days, plus i have an old mucker from bristol around who isn't obsessed (tho his other half may be!) and i have it on good authority the best place to see anything at koko is on the balcony in the front row. which is reasonable!
Re: boring explanatory reason
Date: 2006-09-16 09:24 pm (UTC)you have balcony front row tickets? :-o
I've always wanted to be in the cheap seats...
