this morning, i have mostly been in a 2 hour meeting.

i am not sure i should be there, especially if i wish to quit this joint and become a tube driver.

tis all quite serious and training centred. interesting, yes, but i am not sure how much i can contribute seeing as i am quite a novice (except making up the numbers for partnership working)

and it might as well rain until september

"I don't understand why some people are so frightened of the rain", huffed some streetwise innercity school kid as I refused to stick my head out from between the bus doors until I had put my umbrella up.

I could have told her that I didn't want to ruin my discman, encased as it was in a waterproof bag.

I didn't.

I just went on my way knowing I was listening to something fantastical and amazing that she wasn't.....

.......the pitter patter sound of raindrops on my umbrella.
