we don't need no education....
Aug. 12th, 2004 09:18 amyesterday i was skiving on a course. access databases. oh the joy! made bearable by a far more reasonable 10am start and free chinesey lunch. num num.
test tomorrow. after gig tonight. behave melissas, and do not drink gin.....
the last couple of evenings have been ace. first, there was the BLUUUUUUES EXPLOSIOOOOON!!!! at 93 feet east, who still rock like muthas. they make me want to strut. i love music that makes me feel that way. rah! (i don't think i was excited as
graylord though, and i certainly didn't get to meet jon spencer, although he did sit behind us in the pub aforehand.....) most excellent gig, and most excellent company.
and after my course yesterday i treated myself to a fillum. after treating myself to 3(!!!!!) pairs of shoes in the shelleys sales (do not go there if you have a shoe weakness! temptation abounds!!)
Peeping Tom was on in a season of 60s art etc. And I couldn't really see the big ol' fuss that got it band, but the 60s were a very different beast to the present i suppose...... fear, voyeurism and serial killing, laced with a liberal dose of black humour that had the whole cinema chuckling.
the most distsurbing thing about the film was they way the protagonist reminded me of dickon. if i ever see him walking towards me with any form of camera i shall mostly be running......
tonight shall bring the joys of the 5,6,7,8s.
busy busy!
